A good day had by all, weather was good and course was fine considering it was under 6 inches of snow up until last week. 

A bit of controversy over Ollie "I was just doing what Pat was doing" Matthews's 2nd place, not the first time he has found himself in a bit of "soapy" over the rules, it's not really the money it's the principle - if we screw up, regardless of whether it was intentional or not, then, have the balls to own up and take the penalty - this includes but not limited to the following:

• The 3 inch tap in that you miss and don't count - cause you wouldn't have missed it if you had tried
• Digging the ball out of the rough "to make sure its yours" and replacing it on a nice bit of fluff.
• Looking for the ball in the distance whilst nudging it along with the shoe wedge for a better lie/length
• Ripping trees out the ground as "it was in the way"
• Playing wrong ball and carrying on regardless
• Too many clubs
• Lift clean and replace on the fairway within 6 inches no nearer the hole - some people must have cocks at least 18 inches long
• The double hit with the wedge
• Grounding the club in the hazard

It's pretty simple, if in doubt, ask for a ruling, or play it as it lies - for the trip we will enforce the rules including loss of hole and D/Q
